About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring immediately for a Fulfillment Associate in Woodridge, IL. This role offers weekly pay of $19.56 per hour, direct deposit & debit card payment options, and benefits including health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. The position is for the Day Shift, running from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.

Requirements

Fulfillment Associate experience preferred
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Ability to read and follow pick tickets, labels, item numbers, and written instructions.
Basic math and counting skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to use RF scanners or warehouse technology after training.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must follow all safety, quality, and attendance standards.

Responsibilities

Pick and pull products accurately according to order sheets, pick tickets, or customer orders.
Pick products accurately, minimizing damage and placing products correctly in totes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including immediate cleanup of spills.
Keep temperature-controlled areas closed to maintain proper product quality.
Complete mandatory monthly training sessions.
Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper pricing and date coding.
Follow all safety regulations and participate in required safety meetings.
Assist with unloading trucks and organizing the warehouse.
Safely drive and park trucks in the yard, ensuring proper placement for loading and unloading.
Start and monitor refrigeration units (reefers) to maintain proper temperature control.
Complete Smith Training Systems certification training to enhance safe driving practices.
Take temperatures of all inbound products, accurately record temperatures, document products that are out of specification, and report any issues.
Act as a yard jockey when applicable, including moving trucks around the yard and into loading docks.
Perform required safety checks, secure trucks, and properly chock wheels.
Meet and maintain the required productivity standards per hour.
