About The Position

The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences seeks to hire an intern to work with its Marketing & Communications team (MARCOMM), supporting web design and content creation. Interns will work alongside the office’s full-time staff members to strategize and produce written content for the college’s web sites and publications. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience within a large, dynamic institution, working on meaningful, real-world communications projects. Interns will collaborate with professionals across disciplines, build a portfolio of published work, and contribute to storytelling that reaches audiences across Arkansas and beyond. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner
  • Come to work with a willingness to work hard and learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter, organized, disciplined and collaborative
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty
  • Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience web page creation, HTML5 coding and CSS styling
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and edit CSS/HTML across all Fulbright College websites
  • Create HTML5 snippets
  • Conduct accessibility audits and fix accordingly
  • Utilize web content management systems (Modern Campus & WordPress) to complete tasks
  • Update and improve UI/UX
  • Work alongside other interns to create and revise web content
  • Other tasks may be assigned, as this internship will be specifically tailored to the strengths and interests of the intern
  • Collaborating with team members using Outlook, Teams, and project management tools
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and regular check-ins with supervisor
  • Supporting other communications and content projects based on team needs and intern interests
