About The Position

The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences seeks to hire an intern to work with its Marketing & Communications team (MARCOMM), graphic design and content creation. Interns will work alongside the office’s full-time staff members to strategize and produce content for the college’s publications, social media channels, websites and more. This internship is specifically tailored to the strengths and interests of the intern, with other tasks potentially assigned. At the University of Arkansas, interns gain experience inside a large, dynamic institution while working on meaningful, real-world communications projects. They collaborate with professionals across disciplines, build a portfolio of published work, and contribute to storytelling that reaches audiences across Arkansas and beyond. Interns are encouraged to bring forward ideas, take creative initiative, and grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Come to work with a willingness to work hard and learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter, organized, disciplined and collaborative

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and or/Canva
• Some photography and videography experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Create flyers, brochures, invitations, posters
• Translate client needs into executable designs and create original concepts
• Manage and maintain Fulbright digital signage
• Assisting with drafting and scheduling social media content
• Supporting campaign-based content creation across platforms
• Monitoring engagement metrics and helping track performance
• Collaborating with team members using Outlook, Teams, and project management tools
• Participating in weekly team meetings and regular check-ins with supervisor
• Supporting other communications and content projects based on team needs and intern interests
