The role of the Fuels Manager is to ensure the proper operation of process equipment such as the Tank Farm and Fuels buildings and other central systems to support the Powertrain Lab as well. The Fuels Manager must execute their role within the Facility Management program which allows an organization to manage and oversee the fuel operations and Spare parts inventory.

Requirements

  • Three plus years of facility management and automotive manufacturing, or industrial experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Extensive knowledge on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook, Access).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee JLL UAW Trades personnel (Electrician, HVAC, and Helper).
  • Perform Tank Farm Operations, Reporting, Maintenance, and Repair for Manufacturing Process Equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining Fuel specific spare parts and specialty tools.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of all Fuel equipment.
  • Oversee routine and regulatory preventative maintenance.
  • Manage Drum storage for Test Wings 1, 2, 3 and Racing.
  • Maintain WPO First in first out and proper labeling.
  • Ship fuel samples (collecting, packaging, shippers, etc.).
  • Monitor Fuel levels for Racing and R&D Operations, including daily manual readings until BMS is fully operational.
  • Coordinate fuel fills for TW3 and Racing.
  • Monitor and maintain fuel data for Test Wings 1, 2, and 3.
  • Work with shift supervisors on maintaining spare parts inventories for all client areas.
  • Ensure min/max quantities for spare parts are reviewed in Maximo.
  • Upload volumetric calculations into Santorin.
  • Pass fuel data to Racing and Wing 3 when new fuel arrives.
  • Coordinate all fuel deliveries once on site for all Operations.
  • Review Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Maintain SOPs, TIS, and pre-tasks for each fuel operation.
  • Collect usage data for Environmental reports.
  • Manage Mechanical Systems including HVAC/R, Indoor Air Quality, Temperature Control, Scavenge Exhaust Systems.
  • Implement Preventative Maintenance (scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdown) and Predictive Maintenance (use of equipment or tests to predict when maintenance will be needed).
  • Ensure General Housekeeping and General Maintenance in Affected Work Areas.
  • Manage Spill Response & Emergency Services.
  • Utilize Building Management System for data collection and Andon.
  • Provide Environmental Health & Safety Assistance, including Waste Removal.
  • Ensure OSHA, State, and Local Regulatory Compliance.
  • Ensure HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) Compliance.
  • Support Environmental Compliance Initiatives and ISO Compliance.
  • Manage Environmental Emergency Response.
  • Achieve Safety Related Objectives: Client Scorecard, Employee Safety Training Compliance, Timely Safety Incident Reporting and Monitoring, Recordable and Lost Work Day Case Injuries, Overall Program – Safety PM Completion, Overall Program – Safety Repair Completion, and Utilize Pre-Task Planning Methods.
  • Achieve Performance Measurables: Client Scorecard, Perform Timely PPS / Downtime Reporting and Monitoring, Help Desk Immediate Work Orders > 24 hrs, Overall Program – PM Completion, and Overall Program – PM Repair Completion.
  • Coordinate Employee PTO/Vacation Scheduling and Coverage.
  • Maintain Employee Training Schedules & Records.
  • Attend Scheduled Training.
  • Actively participate in all GMS and BPD requirements.
  • Perform On call duties.
  • Conduct Layered Audits.
