About The Position

Are you a troubleshooting expert with Gilbarco and Veeder-Root experience? Join our dynamic team as a Fuel Technician, where you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of fuel equipment through inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position will directly report to the Fuel Maintenance Manager and also provides technical guidance and support to junior technicians.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fuel Technician or similar role.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols for hazardous areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly and collaboratively to team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Gilbarco dispenser certification.
  • Veeder-Root ATG certification.
  • Participation in training programs to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Training and certification in technical trades as assigned by merit (ie certified electrician)
  • Compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on Gilbarco FlexPay 6 dispensers
  • Troubleshoot and repair Veeder-Root equipment
  • Identify recurring issues and implement effective solutions
  • Conduct repairs and replacement of faulty components according to internal safety protocol and OEM standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs through asset based work order system and inventory management system.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including PPE usage and hazardous area procedures.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to maintain a relevant skillset.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
  • Minimum 40-hour work with possible overtime.
  • Ability to work after hours and travel (on-call).
