About The Position

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting work needed to make sure accounts payable are processed in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, LOOKUPs) and other Microsoft office programs
• Attention to detail is critical
• Must have analytical abilities
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• 2+ or more years of experience in a related field required

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze and report financial information utilizing Majors policies, professional standards, and US GAAP
• Monitor Accounts Receivable accounts including credit card transactions
• Perform analysis and conduct reconciliations for fuel inventory accounts
• Process Electronic Funds Transfers from daily invoices
• Examine inside sales data for missing transactions and answer customer submitted help tickets
• Complete month end closing tasks as well as year-end closing
• Other duties as assigned
