About The Position

Tradebe is hiring a Fuel Processing Operator at its East Chicago, Indiana facility, an industrial processing hub focused on recycling, the circular economy, and environmental solutions. The operator works in an industrial environment operating a unit that processes the contents of incoming drums. The posted schedule is Saturday through Tuesday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The listed pay is $20.65–$21.38 per hour, including base pay, an operator premium, and a shift differential; base pay increases from $18.90 to $19.63 after a 90-day probationary period. Pay is weekly.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry is a plus.
Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow regulations, standards, and internal policies to ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance and promote a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.
Operate a hydraulic arm to secure drums and a hoe to scrape drum contents into the processing unit.
Unload incoming trailers and process waste streams.
Place or locate material in appropriate staging and storage areas.
Prepare material for processing operations.
Conduct daily forklift inspections.
Perform simple maintenance, such as cleaning and adding fluids.
Accurately track drum storage and document movements on tracking sheets as needed.
Perform processing operations and other duties as needed.
