The Department of General Services, Fleet Management Services is seeking a Program Manager I (Fuel/EV Site Manager) for its Division of Fleet Management Services. This position manages the environmental compliance program for the Division of Fleet Management's underground and aboveground storage tanks, product piping, and fuel dispensing equipment. The position ensures that all Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE)-required inspections and testing are completed and that all fuel sites remain in compliance with applicable MDE regulations. The position performs and coordinates required repairs and oversees contractors responsible for fuel system infrastructure, the electric vehicle (EV) charging program, EV charging stations, and the associated charging network and monitoring systems. In addition, this position is responsible for reporting site and equipment failures, coordinating repairs with the appropriate contractors, and ensuring the continued operation, reliability, and compliance of the County's fuel and EV charging infrastructure. The Division of Fleet Management Services is a 24/7 operation and has three main worksite locations (Rockville, Silver Spring and Kensington), along with multiple depots and fuel/EV sites. The employee will be required to work at all locations and may include nights and weekends. The individual selected for this position will be considered an Essential Employee. Essential employees must report to work during a period of general emergency or liberal leave. Employee must be able to: work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; and independently move and use equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
