This position is for an IPTSE (ICE Propulsion and Thermal Systems Engineering) Fuel Systems Applications Design & Release Engineer. The D&R would be a member of a larger D&R team tasked with delivering a complete fuel system to a program.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering
• Proficiency in the usage of D&R tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, FEDE, Global 8D, DFMEA, DVP&R, PV, APQP Reviews, and AIMs
• Familiarity with fuel system components, materials, and their manufacturing processes

Nice To Haves

• MS in Engineering
• Previous Fuel Systems and launch experience is desired
• 2 Years of design and release experience
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills who can look ahead for the GPDS program deliverables, develop a workplan and drive the process both inside of Ford and with the supply base to meet the deliverables
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues using a data-driven approach

Responsibilities

• Lead overall design, validation, and launch of fuel system components, potentially including: fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filler pipe, carbon canister and vapor components, etc.
• Manage system engineering and integration into the vehicle platform
• Lead milestone signoff reviews for related components to insure that all design requirements are met
• Support issue resolution including data collection and analysis to support root cause confirmation and corrective actions
• Manage component and system level validation testing to support engineering milestone signoffs
• Communicate status and issues to broad audience including senior management and program teams
