About The Position

Nouria Energy Corporation is a family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator, and car wash operator serving New England. Fuel Attendants are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the station during their shift, in accordance with company policies. The role supports store profitability and growth while meeting customer needs and providing professional, friendly service.

Fuel Attendants follow station policies and procedures, maintain the appearance and safety of their work area, know products and prices, handle customer payments and money securely, and stay informed about promotions. They complete assigned cleaning and stocking duties, perform gas-island procedures, operate equipment safely, assist other attendants, and communicate operational updates to management. They also prepare shift reports and help implement company safety and health practices.

The position requires working in varied temperature conditions, including outdoors in different weather and in coolers and the store, and tolerating exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products. It involves prolonged standing, periods sitting at a desk and using a computer, accessing all areas of the store, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The starting rate is $15.10.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Read, understand, and write English at an eighth-grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at an eighth-grade level.
• Communicate in English verbally and in writing, including understanding customers’ verbal communication.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures during emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in varying temperature environments, including coolers, outdoors in various weather conditions, and inside the store.
• Lift up to 35 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Access and traverse all areas of the store.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the station properly and efficiently during the assigned shift, following company policies and procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service; greet customers, respond promptly to their needs, suggest purchases, and promote specials.
• Accept customer payments accurately and efficiently, and safeguard money in the employee’s charge.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and security of the store and surrounding areas, including keeping driveways clear of debris and snow.
• Complete assigned cleaning, housekeeping, and stocking tasks.
• Perform essential gas-island procedures and operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist other attendants to expedite customer service.
• Communicate store-operation updates and issues to management promptly, verbally and in writing.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift in accordance with company guidelines.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers; enforce environmental and hazardous-material regulations; and document accidents or incidents.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Support implementation of the Nouria Safety and Health program and complete new-employee safety orientation.
• Stay informed about station policies, products, prices, special offers, and programs.
