As a FTZ Trade Analyst at ICON, you will manage and coordinate clinical supplies activities to support the successful execution of clinical trials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field; candidates without a degree should have 6+ years of relevant experience including a minimum of 1 year of hands-on FTZ experience.
  • Working knowledge of FTZ inventory tracking, movements, admissions, withdrawals, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, life sciences, or a related regulated environment is preferred.
  • Experience with Inventory Control & Record Keeping System (ICRS)/FTZ Software is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or trade management systems such as SAP GTS, Integration Point, or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day FTZ operations within Global Clinical Supply, including transaction processing, inventory tracking, and movement of goods into and out of FTZ environments.
  • Maintain accurate FTZ inventory records and support reconciliation activities to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Execute or assist with admissions, withdrawals, zone transfers, receipts, shipments, and other FTZ-related operational processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Global Clinical Supply, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Trade Compliance to support compliant and efficient FTZ tracking and execution.
  • Participate in strategic FTZ discussions and provide practical operational input to support business decisions.
  • Help prepare and maintain FTZ-related documentation, records, and reporting.
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and other compliance checks related to FTZ inventory and operations.
  • Identify and support process improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in FTZ activities.
  • Maintain and update FTZ business procedures, and training materials as needed.
  • Work with third-party providers, brokers, and warehouse partners to support correct FTZ execution.
  • Escalate operational issues, inventory discrepancies, and compliance concerns in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
