About The Position

This position is for a full-time Meat Clerk at Saskatoon Co-op's Warman Food #289 location. The role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and stocking merchandise, maintaining department standards, and operating necessary equipment.

Requirements

Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated.
Must be capable of serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Must be able to work morning, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Provide information, assistance, and courteous service to customers, promoting sales at all times.
Advise Department Manager of specials or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers.
Adjust minor complaints in keeping with general sales policy and refer more serious complaints to the Department Manager.
Prepare, wrap, price, stock, and price check merchandise as assigned.
Unpack and check merchandise as assigned, including codes and dates.
Display all types of meat according to departmental procedures, ensuring proper rotation, freshness, and full stock at all times.
Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Department Manager.
Place orders for replenishment of inventory as required.
Assist in stocktaking as required.
Operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale.
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties as per Association standards.
Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly, and notify supervisor in reference to repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
