About The Position

This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry required or other QA type experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills to complete Tyson paperwork
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
  • Good problem identification and problem solving skills
  • Math and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications
  • Must function well under stress
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed
  • Heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more with assistance)
  • Regular full-time team member with minimum of three (3) months seniority
  • Applicants must not have received any written warnings for disciplinary reasons within three (3) months before the job bid
  • Applicant must not have received any warnings with suspension within six (6) months before the job bid
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory attendance record with no more than three (3) points
  • Team member may not bid for another position within six (6) months of last successful job bid unless it is a promotion
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
