About The Position

Now Hiring: FSQ Technician - Manufacturing | 1st Shift. This role involves executing Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes, including batching, processing, filling, and packaging. The technician will perform physical and chemical testing of raw batches, finished products, and ingredients, as well as coordinate sampling and release of bulk and refrigerated ingredients. Responsibilities also include executing pre-operation routines, CIP validation, allergen testing, and managing hold routines for nonconforming materials. The role requires verification and validation of sanitation and allergen controls, review and approval of food safety and quality records, and coordination of verification and calibration for inline equipment. The technician will contribute to root cause analysis, customer complaint investigations, and the maintenance of FSQ documentation practices. Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the FSQ Lab area is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
  • Ability to document, describe and interpret records and documented specifications.
  • Ability to enforce company procedures and policies.
  • Ability to document inspection findings legibly and with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes, including batching, processing, filling and packaging
  • Execute physical and chemical testing of raw batches, finished products and any other testing as defined by the Quality Monitoring Scheme
  • Execute sampling, testing and release of bulk and refrigerated ingredients
  • Execute pre-operation routines, which includes sanitation approval for equipment and environment, and compliance against product change-over requirements
  • Execute CIP validation and allergen testing
  • Coordinate collection and storage of finished product samples during manufacturing operation
  • Execute hold routines including creating events for nonconforming ingredients, packaging material, raw batches and finished products
  • Execute verification and validation routines for sanitation and allergen controls
  • Execute review and approval of food safety and quality records created throughout shift
  • Coordinate verification and calibration routines for inline and in-process equipment, i.e. X-Ray, Metal Detectors, in-line filters, etc
  • Execute verification routines for pre-requisite records and Programs
  • Provide contribution towards root cause analysis and customer complaint investigations
  • Provide contribution towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area
  • Other duties, as assigned by management
