The Scientist, Precision Medicine is a hands-on scientist responsible for the day-to-day execution of local testing and other in vitro diagnostic operations that support clinical trials. Under the direction of Precision Medicine leadership, the role partners with study teams, Clinical Operations, Biospecimen Leads, testing laboratories, and external diagnostic partners. Key workstreams include reviewing and approving local test assessments, monitoring local-versus-central test concordance and reconciling data, planning biospecimens, and coordinating diagnostic partners. These activities support timely, accurate patient eligibility testing and diagnostic development and regulatory studies, while providing operational continuity as the Precision Medicine organization expands. The role is performed in a laboratory and/or clinical environment. It may involve occasional drives to site locations and occasional domestic travel, exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms, and rare exposure to irritants, radiation, toxic materials, hazardous waste, or extreme temperatures. Personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves is required.
