About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with the coordination and execution of daily departmental operations. The Lead ensures that the Supervisor's instructions are clearly communicated to team members and that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. In addition, the Lead must be knowledgeable in all positions within the line and be able to step into any role as needed to support operations and provide coverage for team member breaks. This position is also responsible for monitoring equipment performance, identifying potential issues, and notifying the Supervisor of any maintenance needs. The Lead plays a key role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with all Tyson policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
  • Minimum of (1) years department LEAD experience in a Poultry Processing Facility or related industry.
  • Experience may be from a combination of employers if it totals at least one year.
  • Rehires are subject to a 181 day wait period, determined from their last date of employment.
  • Candidates that have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson Affiliates 3 or more times will not be eligible for rehire.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
