About The Position

The College of Law at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Remote) Part-Time Temporary FRPP Fellow. This role involves reviewing and analyzing legal documents and instruments primarily related to easements in the Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) of the United States Department of Agriculture. The fellow will document findings in EXCEL and other reporting formats, and contribute to the preparation of periodic reports describing the Clinic’s activities as to the FRPP program. The position is for approximately 4.5 months, with an expected workload of 10 hours per week.

Requirements

  • J.D. from ABA - accredited law school.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word and EXCEL
  • Proficiency in Google platforms including Google Docs and Zoom
  • Strong ability to multi-task multiple projects
  • Ability to write effectively
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with co-investigators of different disciplines
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of five (5) years prior work in real estate office is preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
