The Frozen Foods Clerk provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. This role involves rotating and replenishing merchandise, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the department, and checking case temperatures for correctness and consistency. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, a growth mindset, and a results-oriented approach.

Requirements

Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables and limited standardization.
Ability to interpret instructions.
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to file, post, and mail materials.
Ability to copy data from one record to another.
Ability to interview to obtain basic information.
Ability to guide people and provide basic direction.
Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
Ability to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, making an effort to learn their names and address them by name whenever possible.
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service, including taking customer orders.
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Rotates and replenishes merchandise, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Ensures cleanliness in the department, including cleaning cases and sweeping the floor.
Ensures merchandise is displayed neatly on shelves with labels readily visible.
Builds and fills end cap displays as necessary.
Unloads trucks, checks in product, and puts product away.
Ensures the storage area is organized, the floor is not slippery, and the temperature is constant and correct.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Orders product and supplies as necessary.
Assists with inventory.
Prices products for customers as necessary.
Assists in other areas of the store as needed.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
