About The Position

The Frozen Foods Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the frozen foods department to ensure freshness and availability of products. This role involves assisting with deliveries, transporting stock, replenishing shelves, building displays, rotating perishable merchandise, controlling damaged goods, and ensuring the assigned section is properly presented at the end of each shift. The clerk will also greet customers, maintain a neat appearance, and adhere to company policies.

Requirements

Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift and work in the cold freezers.

Responsibilities

Assist in unloading merchandise during deliveries.
Transport stock for storage and to replenish shelves.
Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
Assist in building and replenishing store displays, end caps, and dairy bunkers.
Rotate perishable merchandise and remove out-of-code products.
Control the level of damaged goods.
Properly present the assigned section before leaving at the end of the shift.
Greet customers and be observant.
Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Maintain the price and protection program.
Perform housekeeping of sales and backroom areas.
