Presents the freshest and best quality product at a competitive retail price. This role requires a positive attitude, creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The manager will generate a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service, and setting a good example. The manager will also be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, disciplining, and evaluating all department employees. This role involves analyzing sales and trends, planning displays and promotions, and ensuring proper temperatures and storage procedures are maintained to guarantee freshness and control shrink of product. The manager must also understand and troubleshoot equipment and ensure maintenance is performed, while maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress. The position is responsible for company assets, including equipment and merchandise, and has access to confidential information including employee compensation, monthly results, quarterly inventory reports, sales and profit sheets, and warehouse pricing.
