About The Position

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to craft the interfaces that make complex governance, risk, and compliance work feel clear and effortless for our customers. In this role you’ll build and refine the Themis web application, turning sophisticated compliance workflows into intuitive, performant, and accessible experiences. You’ll partner closely with design, product, and backend engineers to ship features that customers rely on every day in high-stakes environments. The ideal candidate cares deeply about the user experience and the details, writes clean and maintainable code, and takes ownership of features from design through production. You believe usability is a core part of building trust in a regulated product.

Requirements

  • Strong experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Proficiency with React
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive, accessible design
  • Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Experience writing tested, maintainable frontend code
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for great user experience
  • Ability to own features end to end and collaborate across disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TypeScript and modern build and testing tooling
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system or component library
  • Experience building data-dense or workflow-heavy enterprise applications
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated domains
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features in the Themis web application using modern frontend frameworks
  • Translate designs and complex workflows into intuitive, responsive, and accessible interfaces
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs
  • Own features end to end, from design and implementation through testing and release
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Build and maintain reusable components and contribute to our design system
  • Participate in code reviews and help raise the bar for frontend quality
  • Partner with product and design to shape requirements and user experience
  • Contribute to technical decisions, architecture, and frontend best practices
  • Help ensure the product remains usable, reliable, and trustworthy for regulated customers
