About The Position

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Front Store Supervisor to join our team at Pharmasave in Sundre, Alberta. This role involves managing and supporting daily operations across the pharmacy, post office, clinic, and retail store, ensuring efficiency, adherence to policies, and a seamless customer experience. The supervisor will also assist with medication dispensing, inventory management, and organizing patient medications. They will operate receiving and shipping procedures, supervise, train, and support staff, maintain accurate billing and cashiering processes, and organize stockroom and merchandising displays. The position requires delivering compassionate customer service, supporting patients in the Ideal Protein program, performing clerical and administrative tasks, promoting brand visibility, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards, and performing various physical duties. The role also involves maintaining updated knowledge in healthcare protocols and assisting with technical support.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support daily operations across the pharmacy, post office, clinic, and retail store, ensuring efficiency, adherence to policies, and a seamless customer experience.
  • Assist with medication dispensing, inventory management, and organizing patient medications for distribution, pickup, reordering, and returns; maintain proper records and communication with healthcare staff.
  • Operate receiving and shipping procedures, including order checking, inventory tracking, restocking, inter-store transfers, and returns; coordinate with suppliers and manage damaged goods.
  • Supervise, train, and support staff in various departments; handle scheduling, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Maintain accurate billing and cashiering processes (including AADL, MSP, third-party, and POS transactions); collect and manage patient payments and MoneyGram services.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom, overstock rotation, marking supplies, merchandising displays, seasonal goods, and ensure inventory systems and paperwork are up to date.
  • Deliver compassionate customer service by answering inquiries, resolving concerns, communicating effectively, and providing assistance on products, services, and complaints.
  • Support patients participating in Ideal Protein by managing appointments, customizing coaching strategies, tracking progress, and offering motivational, up-to-date guidance.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, maintaining files, handling phones, processing mail, and assisting customers at front counters.
  • Promote brand visibility and health initiatives within the community while collaborating with the store, pharmacy, and healthcare teams to improve service offerings.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, security, and professional standards across all work areas and staff appearance.
  • Lift, carry, bend, reach, and move items up to 50 lbs as needed, with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties throughout shifts.
  • Maintain updated knowledge in healthcare protocols, pharmacy systems, and Ideal Protein practices; assist in technical support areas like EMR, phones, and equipment.
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the Store Operator, Pharmacy Manager, Front Store Manager, Clinic Nurse, and District Director.
