About The Position

The Front Server position is responsible for serving tables, offering wine and food pairing suggestions, maintaining restaurant cleanliness and operations, clearing and resetting tables, ensuring guest satisfaction, and handling cash and guest check settlements. The role requires a positive attitude, the ability to handle stressful situations, respect for guests and associates, leadership skills, and efficient time management at the station.

Requirements

Effectively interact and communicate in English with people from diverse backgrounds.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Write simple correspondence in the English language.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Compute rate, ratio and percent.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Demonstrate the ability to utilize a computer.
Possess knowledge of Micros.
Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol.
Possess a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor’s Permit, CARE for Servers Card or TIPS Card or ability and willingness to attend a Responsible Vendor’s class and pass the test with a score of 90% or better.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
At least two (2) years server experience in an upscale restaurant.
