About The Position

Monroe Health Center is seeking a professional and organized Front Office Specialist to join our team. This position is a full-time position, the main assigned location of work is at the Peterstown Health Center with occasional assignment at other MHC locations as needed. A Front Office Specialist role is critical to ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients in a busy healthcare setting. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment

Nice To Haves

Medical office training preferred
1-2 years of experience in a medical office or customer service role is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance
Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and staff
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collect co-pays and payments, coordinating with the billing department
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination
