About The Position

Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is currently hiring for a Front Office Receptionist. The primary duty of this role is to act as a liaison between the provider and their patients. This includes greeting patients, updating information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), scheduling follow-up appointments, collecting co-pays, and educating patients about CHCCW's available programs such as Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Case Management, Behavioral Health, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Quick Care. The Front Office Receptionist will also learn to verify insurance, review patient documents, update registrations, and use a multi-line phone system. This position is unique in its ability to ensure a patient's experience meets their expectations. Special demands are often placed on the Patient Support Team, requiring courtesy, cooperation, and the ability to manage multiple detailed tasks despite interruptions. Attention to detail, initiative, and good interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is an advantage. The role requires the ability to deal with difficult patients and relatives, showing tolerance and compassion to patients with special healthcare needs. All information must be treated as highly confidential. Additionally, the Front Office Receptionist must be able to recognize medical emergencies, alert appropriate personnel, and occasionally assist other healthcare providers with patients. The ideal candidate will be diplomatic yet businesslike when faced with difficult situations, treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
