About The Position

QualDerm Partners is the largest multi-state female-founded and owned dermatology network in the U.S., with over 150 locations across 17 states. Our Crystal, MN location is seeking a friendly and organized Front Office Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient patient registration process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with strong organizational skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly in person and over the phone, responding to or directing inquiries as needed.
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently using medical practice management systems.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage using facility medical necessity tools and communicate any required prior authorizations to the billing department.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, including follow-up calls for no-shows, while optimizing appointment utilization.
  • Collect patient co-pays and balances upon check-in and check-out, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist in emergency situations by responding promptly and appropriately to patients in distress.
  • Update patient records and insurance information accurately in the electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
  • Perform other administrative duties and tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager.
