About The Position

Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a well-respected and busy orthopaedic practice, is recruiting a full-time Front Office Receptionist/Customer Service Representative to primarily work at their Seven Fields office. We are looking for a compassionate team player who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills with a positive and upbeat attitude. Must also be organized, comfortable using a computer, and detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced practice environment. Related experience in a medical office or customer service is required. Schedule: This full-time position carries a 40-hour work week Monday through Friday primarily at our Seven Fields Office. As a Member of this amazing coverage-based Team, there is a possibility for the need to occasionally travel to our other offices located in North Hills, Fox Chapel, Robinson Township and Butler. The position shifts could vary, however, would primarily entail: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your daily work assignment would rotate with your three office coworkers. Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients respectfully and courteously both in person and on the telephone
  • answering and triaging patient questions and phone calls by properly referring questions and issues
  • Checking patients in by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information and checking out by posting co-pays and end of day reconciliation
  • Appropriately scheduling patient appointments
  • Verifying/understanding processes for HIPAA forms, Medical Record Release forms, Completion of forms, IME patient requirements, etc.
  • Cross training with the TSPT Front Office Receptionist duties
