About The Position

Talan is seeking a talented Python Developer to join their team and work on Equity Derivatives Trading Desk. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, with a solid understanding of the Equity-Derivatives business, and be passionate about maintaining and enhancing Trade Support Platforms. This role is located in NYC and is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days onsite per week. Talan does not sponsor U.S. work permits or employment visas.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in OOP Development
• Experience with 2 years + backend Python Software Development
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Understanding of equity derivatives business or strong willingness to learn
• Adaptable, proactive mindset with a growth mentality

Nice To Haves

• experience with AI/ML applications in analytics

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and support EQD tools used daily by traders, structurers, and risk managers, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Contribute to the development of a transversal data platform that accelerates the creation of new applications across the firm.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for builds, containerization, and deployment.
• Develop and enhance full-stack features with a focus on delivering business-driven functionality.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions, while staying eager to deepen finance knowledge.
