About The Position
Our patient-centered, wellness-focused dental practice is looking for a motivated, positive (and smiley!) Front Office Assistant to join our team of dental professionals in a great team environment in Camarillo, CA! We are a fast-paced, growing PPO and fee-for-service private practice that offers the best in dentistry for our area. Ranked a top practice year after year, we provide laser periodontal therapy, biomimetic enamel regeneration, therapeutic Botox for TMD, sleep apnea testing and treatment, laser dentistry, implant placement and restorations, and much more...as well as fun giveaways/contests, team incentives, and wellness activities. We are looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and organized individual who is excited to join our team. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, exudes confidence, cares about their patients, and wants to form relationships with them. Requirements
- Proficiency in dental terminology, CDT coding, and dental insurance billing
- Strong typing skills and familiarity with office management systems
- Ability to accurately create and update insurance plans
- Demonstrates understanding of ledger items and balances
- Dentrix Ascend software is preferred
- Self-motivated, quick learner
- An excellent communicator
- Positive/Optimistic with a go-getter attitude!
- Career-minded, wants to join a work family
Nice To Haves
- Prefer cross-trained as a dental assistant
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner (smiles)
- Answer phone calls/texts/emails, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and assist with payments
- Maintain electronic health records and ensure accuracy of patient data
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Assist with office management tasks as needed
