Front of House - Lake Oswego
About The Position
This is a full-time position that requires weekend availability and some holidays, with early to mid-day availability required Tuesday-Thursday. The role involves providing exemplary customer service, engaging in active selling, and promoting products. Responsibilities include maintaining excellent product knowledge, preparing food and beverages according to recipes, proper use of equipment, maintaining a clean work area, cross-training in various FOH roles, reinforcing service, sanitation, and food safety standards, monitoring workflow during peak hours, and addressing guest concerns professionally and with urgency.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Food Handler's card
- Current OLCC Permit
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience - food service or hospitality experience highly preferred
- A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to stay composed and solution-oriented under pressure
- High standards for cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence
- Reliability, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Barista experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary customer service: task pivot and converse with customers
- Engage in active selling
- Sale and promotion of products; Help direct customers around the store and menu
- Maintain excellent product knowledge
- Produce all food and beverage items precisely according to Elephant's recipes
- Proper use equipment as specified by Manager and//or trainer
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Cross-train in various FOH roles
- Reinforce service, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Monitor workflow and pace during peak hours
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
