About The Position

Massanutten Resort is seeking a Front of House Assistant Manager to support the General Manager with daily restaurant operations. This role involves overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure a smooth, efficient operation and an outstanding guest experience. The Assistant Manager will also serve as a knowledgeable resource for guests, providing information about the resort and surrounding area, while upholding safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general database applications)
  • Strong understanding of ABC regulations
  • Previous food and beverage management experience
  • Must be at least 21

Nice To Haves

  • Serve safe certification
  • Understanding of profit and loss statements
  • Understanding of labor reports
  • Beer, wine, and liquor knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Assist the general manager in upholding standards of customer service, ABC regulations, food quality and presentation, and daily operations of the restaurant
  • Assist general manager in maintaining company culture including training and development of new and existing employees and ensuring an effective feedback loop between management and employees
  • Maintain inventory control, including ordering of products as assigned by the general manager from distributors
  • Actively participate in problem-solving as it pertains to maintaining business flow
  • Involve supervisors in the process of implementation.
  • Maintain a culture of improvement and achievement through consistent measurement, analysis, and recognition
  • Other duties as assigned by management
