About The Position

As an Assistant Manager, you will work directly with the General Manager and company leadership to develop employees, maintain our service standards, and provide an outstanding experience for every customer. Prior restaurant experience, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred but not required for an otherwise strong candidate.
Open availability, including the ability to work a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

Uphold and exemplify Demos’ purpose statement and company values.
Support the General Manager in leading daily front-of-house operations.
Increase sales by improving customer satisfaction and building customer loyalty.
Ensure that service, cleanliness, safety, appearance, and operational standards are consistently followed.
Train, coach, and develop front-of-house employees.
Hold employees accountable while treating them fairly, firmly, and respectfully.
Lead with integrity, sound judgment, consistency, and respect.
Monitor the dining room and respond quickly to customer or operational concerns.
Assist employees during busy periods and provide hands-on leadership when needed.
Identify and correct wasteful or inefficient practices.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional restaurant environment.
Help administer employee discipline consistently and appropriately.
Anticipate problems and develop backup plans before problems affect customers.
Enforce all company safety procedures.
Maintain uncompromising standards for food quality and customer service.
Ensure that employees maintain Demos’ standards for appearance and conduct.
Demonstrate dependability by doing what is expected, when it is expected, whether or not a supervisor is present.
