About The Position
Waste Connections is hiring experienced, safety-minded Front Load Drivers to work from its Waxahachie, Texas yard. Drivers start and end their shifts at the same location and service commercial routes, completing timely pickups and deliveries. The role involves operating a CDL truck and hydraulic and automated lifting systems to load and unload materials and containers. Drivers communicate with dispatchers and customers and conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 AM to 2 PM, with Saturdays as needed, approximately 50–65 hours per week.
Requirements
- Class A or Class B CDL.
- At least 1 year of CDL driving experience.
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds or more, climb in and out of the truck, and work outdoors in all conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL truck from the Waxahachie yard, starting and ending each shift at the same location.
- Service commercial routes with timely pickups and deliveries.
- Operate hydraulic and automated lifting systems to load and unload materials and containers.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
