About The Position

The Front Line Leader leads a crew of hourly team members supporting the Pulp or Power operating areas. Lead and engage your team to deliver above expectations results in the areas of safety, environmental, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity. Set expectations, leverage teamwork, and hold individuals and team accountable for results. Hold one-on-one coaching sessions with direct reports for development. Implement reliability and manufacturing excellence initiatives such as work systems, precision maintenance, basic care, and RCFA. Identify potential safety issues and take measures to proactively address concerns. Actively participate in the mill’s safety program. Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on production equipment. Identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste. Oversee the housekeeping efforts in the designated area.

Requirements

  • Must have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of improving employee engagement.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
  • 5 + years experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering fields preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus.
  • Successfully started the Front line leader onboarding curriculum or have completed (Internal posting)
