The Front End/Utility Clerk creates an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and helps maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold in the departments, respond to customer questions, and make product suggestions.
Clean up spills as needed and collect and pick up trash inside the store and in the parking lot.
Maintain the cleanliness of the department and other assigned areas.
Display a positive attitude.
Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
Collaborate with team members to encourage teamwork.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
