About The Position

Earth Fare Team Leaders are managers responsible for modeling Earth Fare's Mission, Conviction, and Purpose, while developing and managing a successful team within their department. They are responsible for adhering to the department's standard operating procedures; meeting and exceeding financial goals including gross profit, shrink, sales, labor, and department overhead. Team Leaders are also responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Front End Team Leader specifically contributes to training and development, operational tasks, and may act as a key holder and Manager On Duty to support overall store operations.

Requirements

  • Proven success managing shrink, sales, gross-profit and total overhead of a department in a similar environment
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a Customer Service Management role
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous cash handling/bookkeeping experience

  • Previous experience in total front-end operations in a retail environment

Responsibilities

  • Model Earth Fare's Mission, Conviction and Purpose
  • Develop and manage a successful team within their department
  • Adhere to the department's standard operating procedures
  • Meet and exceed financial goals including gross profit, shrink, sales, labor and department over-head
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate the Earth Fare vision, standard operating procedures, merchandising guidelines, and financial goals to Team Members, with strong emphasis on customer service, safety and sanitation
  • Interview, select, train, and support team members
  • Act as a key holder to support overall store operations
  • Schedule and supervise cashiers, book keepers and customer service desk staff
  • Conduct new Team Member orientations
  • Maintain high levels of communication with Team Members, customers, and Home Office
  • Ensure proper safety and security procedures
  • Perform Front End Audits and assists in quarterly LPI audits
  • Continually find ways to reduce expenses
  • Work up to five MOD shifts per week including opening and closing of store based upon individual store/business needs
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department including all fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers
