About The Position

The Front End Manager is responsible for overseeing the front-end operations of the store, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and excellent customer service. This role involves managing a team, maintaining store policies, and ensuring efficient checkout procedures. The manager must also be aware of sales programs, pricing, and security protocols. Requirements

  • Previous front-end experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to resolve team member or guest concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within the department and store through honest and open communication.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs, and directives.
  • Provide professional examples for other store team members.
  • Communicate information about Ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and other sales features to the front-end team.
  • Immediately notify proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in the system.
  • Observe the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensure additional help is available as needed.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently, bag guest purchases, and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies (bags, register tapes, office forms, cleaning supplies) within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of the cash register and safe.
  • Implement all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies.
  • Follow company policy in opening and closing the store.
  • Adhere to Nevada County/State laws and store policies regarding the front 'slot' areas.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt and accurate change and maintain proper control of funds.
  • Supervise the sales of tobacco products and/or alcohol and ensure compliance with age restrictions.
