About The Position

The Front End Loader Operator is responsible for managing raw materials, including mixing and intake, to ensure production is set up for upcoming days with the proper blend and moisture content. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and loading raw materials, as well as conducting loader inspections and performing maintenance. The position operates in close proximity to heavy automated equipment, requiring clear communication and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One to two years loader operation experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
• Good eye, hand and foot coordination.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis and stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb up and down stairs to get in and out of loader with no fear of confined spaces or heights.
• Ability to do simple math calculations, use basic tools, and exhibit mechanical aptitude when conducting loader maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mix material per specification to ensure production is set up for upcoming days to ensure proper blend and moisture content.
• Receive incoming loads of raw materials and separate by species.
• Inspect quality of raw material to standard and notify plant leadership of any defects.
• Load infeed bin per production schedule requirements.
• Conduct loader inspections and perform loader maintenance.
• Communicate with co-workers regarding status of work flow.
• Other accountabilities as required.
