About The Position

The Front End Loader Operator is responsible for raw material mixing and intake processes. This includes mixing material per specification to ensure production is set up for upcoming days, receiving and separating incoming loads of raw materials by species, inspecting the quality of raw material to standard, and loading the infeed bin per production schedule requirements. The role also involves conducting loader inspections, performing loader maintenance, and communicating with co-workers regarding work flow status. Other accountabilities as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• One to two years loader operation experience in an industrial setting highly preferred
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
• Will need good eye, hand and foot coordination
• Will need the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
• Will need to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis and stand and sit for long periods of time
• Will need to climb up and down stairs to get in and out of loader with no fear of confined spaces or heights
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations, use basic tools, and exhibit mechanical aptitude when conducting loader maintenance

Responsibilities

• Mix material per specification to ensure production is set up for upcoming days to ensure proper blend and moisture content.
• Receiving incoming loads of raw materials and separate by species
• Inspect quality of raw material to standard and notify plant leadership of any defects
• Load infeed bin per production schedule requirements
• Conduct loader inspections and perform loader maintenance
• Communicate with co-workers regarding status of work flow
• Other accountabilities as required
