About The Position

We are hiring a Front-End Engineer III to join a strategic new initiative on the Quick team. You will design and deliver complex, scalable front-end capabilities across web and mobile platforms, helping define the next generation of AI-powered user experiences. We are looking for a builder with a strong track record of shipping customer-facing features, experience supporting new product architectures and business models, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You approach hard problems with curiosity and solve them with elegant, simple solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience
  • 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
  • Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
  • Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and hands-on development of front-end architecture, UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems that power the Amazon Quick experience.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of front-end feature delivery—from technical design through implementation, testing, and release. Influence decisions on the UI tech stack, rendering strategies, and client-side performance to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality user experiences.
  • Champion agile methodologies and front-end DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated UI testing, and operational excellence—fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficient delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and science partners to translate customer needs and design intent into polished, accessible interfaces. This is a highly visible role where strong communication and cross-functional partnership are essential.
  • Write clean, well-tested front-end code; participate in code and design reviews. Own end-to-end UI quality—including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, and cross-browser/device validation.
  • Mentors engineers and interns, building engineers who can own rather than depend. Actively participates in hiring, conducting interviews and raising the bar.
