About The Position

This role contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of applications and services that support insurance underwriting and operations teams. It is part of AXIS Capital’s ongoing modernization efforts to enhance business efficiency and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

5+ years of application development experience with a focus on front end development
Strong proficiency in web development using Unqork, React or Angular
Solid experience with Azure and .NET technologies
Proven ability to create Azure-based REST APIs
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Git (or similar tools)
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks
Track record of delivering quality code aligned with performance and usability standards

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience in the insurance industry
Exposure to low-code platforms such as Unqork
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Azure APIM
Understanding of DevOps pipelines

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and development partners to build and enhance applications and services.
Apply standard engineering practices within Agile delivery frameworks to produce well-tested, maintainable solutions.
Share knowledge and collaborate effectively within the team, supporting internal stakeholders with clear and timely communication.
Provide informal guidance and peer support to less experienced developers, contributing to a positive learning environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production environments, with support available as needed.
Follow established deployment and change management processes, while recommending improvements to enhance team efficiency.
May be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
