About The Position

Client is pioneering the way people experience online and in-store shopping. We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to help us design and improve the customer membership experience and build scalable platforms on mobile devices. We are just getting started on membership experience and this is a very critical role to shape the face of client.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 5+ years of professional experience in various elements of full-stack software development, web front end, and mobile web and hands-on coding experience
• 5+ years of Web development experience, including technologies such as Core JavaScript, NodeJs, React/Redux, NextJs, GraphQl, HTTP(s), npm/yarn, babel
• 5+ years of HTML/CSS design experience, including technologies such as responsive design, vector, icon fonts, zeplin, color theory, localization Concepts such as layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility
• 5+ years experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance
• Proven track records of driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projects
• Experience with asynchronous programming, closures, types, CI/CD, Server/Client-side rendering, es6

Responsibilities

• Become the owner of one of the most important Web Apps on the Internet, W+
• Write robust, high performance, well-crafted code that you are proud to show to people
• Solve complex technical or product problems involving multiple engineers and teams
• Implement features and user interfaces of Walmart products like Walmart Plus (membership)
• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver reliable products
• Architect efficient and reusable cross-team systems that drive complex web applications
• Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that Walmart’s app is presentable and in perfect working order
• Taking the initiative to monitor app reviews to detect areas for improvement
