About The Position

We are seeking a Front End Developer with strong Angular experience to join our team at Jefferies Bank in NYC. This role requires a candidate who can directly gather requirements from the business and has a business-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will have a total of 12-15 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years of experience in the US, and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited US college. Prior experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services is mandatory. The interview process will involve a video call followed by an in-person final round.

Requirements

• 12-15 years of total IT experience.
• 10+ years of experience in the US.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited US college.
• Investment Banking or Financial Service experience required.
• Must have coded a new application from scratch.
• Strong experience in Kafka, Microservices, Spring Boot, APIs, Kubernetes, and SQL stored procedures.
• SME level Angular experience.
• Experience working in the Financial Services and Investment Banking domain.
• Experience working with virtual teams.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to ETL and Data Engineering tools like Mulesoft, StreamSets & Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver Java-based APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot, AWS, and streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Provide SME-level Angular expertise.
• Work with SQL to build stored procedures, functions, and data warehousing solutions.
• Develop TDD/BDD unit tests and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team on defect triage and resolution.
• Proactively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Collaborate effectively with virtual teams.
• Take requirements directly from the business and demonstrate a business focus.
