About The Position

Good Foods Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery dedicated to providing high-quality, local, and sustainable products. As a cooperative, we’re committed to supporting our community, local farmers, and producers while creating a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience. We’re looking for a Front End Clerk who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great service, and wants to be part of a team that values community and connection.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail, customer Service and money handling experience preferred.
High level of interest in natural and organic foods.
High level of interest in the cooperative business structure and in the long-term sustainability of locally-owned, independent businesses preferred.
Very strong work ethic and demonstrable attention to detail.
Must be a fast, focused, and hardworking person.
Experience working with the public.
Experience with diverse cultures and backgrounds preferred.
Availability – Must be available to work as scheduled including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Providing friendly, efficient customer service at the register and throughout the store
Handling transactions accurately, including cash and card payments
Assisting customers with questions, needs, and product location
Keeping the front end clean, organized, and well-stocked
Supporting curbside and special orders
Following safety, sanitation, and store procedures
Helping maintain a smooth, efficient flow at the front of the store
