About The Position

To perform in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited, to check-in and check-out of guests, which contributes to an overall positive experience. This is part time position, with the potential for full-time work.

Requirements

  • Must have good customer relations skills.
  • A friendly and professional tone and actions are vital.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen carefully.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Registers and assigns rooms to guests.
  • Issues room keys and gives instructions to guests as appropriate.
  • Stamps mail in the outbox.
  • Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, fax and switchboard.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
  • Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
  • Computes bills, collects payment and makes changes for guests.
  • Makes, confirms, modifies and cancels reservations for guests.
  • Posts charges such as room, food, or telephone by hand or machine.
  • Makes restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations for guests.
  • Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
