About The Position

This role involves greeting and assisting hotel guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, and handling reservations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires the ability to work in a standard office environment, with prolonged periods of sitting and computer work, as well as occasional standing and walking. Physical requirements include frequent fine motor skills for typing and operating office equipment, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory abilities are necessary for interacting with guests and using computer systems.

Requirements

  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
  • Promptly, accurately and efficiently post all charges.
  • Manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly.
  • Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly.
  • Take same day reservations in approximately 2 minutes.
  • Follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary.
