About The Position

Four Points by Sheraton Tampa Airport Westshore, managed by StepStone Hospitality, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and guest-focused Front Desk Supervisor to join our Front Office team. The Front Desk Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Front Desk, providing guidance and direction to Front Office associates, and ensuring our guests receive professional, efficient, and welcoming service throughout their stay. We are looking for a candidate with previous hotel Front Desk experience who understands hotel operations and can confidently support the department across all shifts. The successful candidate must have a flexible schedule and be available to work first, second, and third shifts as business and coverage needs require, including weekends and holidays. Experience with Marriott's Power of M property management system and bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel systems and technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Front Desk Supervisor, Front Desk Lead, Night Auditor, or similar hotel leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a branded hotel environment preferred.
  • Power of M experience strongly preferred.
  • Marriott experience highly desirable.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong guest-service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support Front Office associates.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed when handling challenging guest situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle guest accounts and financial transactions.
  • Comfortable working independently and making operational decisions when leadership is not immediately available.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Front Desk operations during assigned shifts.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, direction, coaching, and support to Front Desk Agents and Night Auditors.
  • Ensure associates consistently provide friendly, professional, and efficient guest service.
  • Assist with guest arrivals and departures, reservations, room assignments, payments, and other Front Desk transactions.
  • Monitor daily Front Office activity and ensure established procedures and brand standards are followed.
  • Assist with resolving guest concerns, complaints, and service-recovery situations promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for Front Desk associates when assistance or management intervention is required.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of hotel services, amenities, room types, rates, promotions, and local-area information.
  • Review shift reports, arrivals, departures, special requests, VIPs, room status, and other operational information.
  • Ensure accurate handling of guest accounts, cash, credit cards, deposits, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new Front Office associates.
  • Monitor associate performance and communicate coaching or performance concerns to Front Office leadership.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, Food & Beverage, and other departments to address guest and operational needs.
  • Assist with shift coverage when necessary, including overnight/third-shift coverage.
  • Follow hotel safety, security, emergency, cash-handling, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming Front Desk and lobby environment.
  • Complete shift checklists, reports, logs, and required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Front Office or hotel leadership.
