About The Position

The Det'on Cho Group of Companies is an investment company with 31 diverse companies, including 9 wholly owned subsidiaries and 22 joint venture partners serving our customers in the Northwest Territories and beyond. Det’on Cho We Le Dai LP operating as Keskorie Boarding Home is 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. We promote a positive and supportive workplace focused on growth, teamwork and the care for our employees and are seeking a full-time Front Desk Supervisor. Our Keskorie Boarding Home is cultural oriented with a friendly work environment that houses people from all over the Territory. Reporting to the General Manager, the Front Desk Supervisor is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome ensuring seamless transitions for our guests. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of Indigenous clients by providing culturally sensitive support and assistance throughout their stay. This is a perfect position if you are keen on customer service with a passion for ensuring inclusive care for individuals. Rotational scheduled shift hours will include 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, for a 40 hour work week.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and data entry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for clients.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities to facilitate smooth transitions and movements within the facility.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and conducting welfare checks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members from different departments to meet clients' needs effectively.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid First Aid/CPR Certificate or willing to take training immediately.
  • WHMIS Certificate.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust.
  • Ability to follow company processes, policies and procedures.
  • Updated Immunization Record
  • Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
