About The Position

The Hyatt Place Wilmington Riverfront is hiring a Front Desk Supervisor! The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for the entire hotel, and ensuring superior service is provided to all guests and product quality standards are met. This role involves ensuring adherence to brand standards, training front desk staff, managing schedules, analyzing financial and operating information, and maintaining safety and security protocols. Onix Hospitality, a company with over 20 years of experience managing award-winning hotels, is seeking this individual to join their team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hotel experience preferred.
  • Exception customer care and service mentality required.
  • Two-year degree, or equivalent work experience, in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent computer system skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the overall success of the hotel.
  • Meeting or exceeding planned objectives for the entire hotel.
  • Ensuring superior service is provided to all guests and product quality standards are met.
  • Ensuring adherence to the rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the pricing and marketing philosophy of the hotel brand.
  • Arranging the proper training of front desk staff members to meet service standards.
  • Ensuring all training objectives and development plans are completed.
  • Ensuring hotel staff know how to identify guest needs and provide relevant information regarding hotel policies, services, and amenities.
  • Scheduling of all front desk staff/operations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining acceptable turnover levels.
  • Analyzing financial and operating information to adjust business plans, labor requirements, and operating costs.
  • Ensuring hotel staff are trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables, and that these procedures are regularly followed.
  • Recognizing and reporting potential safety hazards to management.
  • Identifying and correcting potential security problems.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
