Requirements

  • Previous supervisory, hotel, front desk, customer or guest service experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the front office for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
  • Capability to accurately input and manage information using a computer system.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Visual and auditory awareness to detect emergencies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front desk staff, reservations, and bell staff as needed, ensuring all daily functions from checklist are completed.
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
  • Check guests in and out of rooms.
  • Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs.
  • Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management.
  • Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.
  • Other duties as assigned.
